The Program

Do you dream of performing on Broadway? Are you called to tell His stories through acting, song, and dance? What does it look like to hear God’s voice when you’re in the spotlight, center stage?

Bethel Conservatory of the Arts (BCA) at Visible Music College is proud to announce a new nine-month Music Theater program led by founders and music theater professionals Lisa and David Noroña. With over 60 years of combined Broadway, touring and regional expertise in the US and overseas in theater dance, stage acting, and singing, the BCA team can help you achieve your music theater dreams.

Over the course of just nine months, you will begin to learn the technique and craft of performing music theater for the stage, with classes that  include acting, voice, theater dance, and acting through song.

And unlike most Music Theater programs, BCA offers its performers creative-spiritual development, community, and connection with other actors, dancers, screenwriters, and filmmakers. BCA gives you the opportunity to build community with a tribe of conservatory-trained artists.

Train and equip yourself to become the performer God created you to be.
— Lisa Noroña, Head of Music Theater

I went into a Music Theater class with a voice but was afraid to shine. I came out focused, and confident in my ability to take center stage and tell a story not just as a vocalist but as an actor.

Music Theater FAQ’s

Do the credits from the Certificate program transfer to another college? . . .

The Certificate program is a robust introduction to the performing arts. It includes solo & vocal ensemble classes, acting technique, theater dance, and our unique BCA courses like Wholehearted Artist and Dream Circle. It is not a quick path to the industry. The Certificate program is perfect for people to explore music theater and the performing arts as a potential career, or get excellent training in order to establish a Music Theater or Drama Ministry. If your goal is to pursue a professional career as a music theater performer you should apply to BA program. Development of craft takes time.

Do the credits from the Certificate program transfer to another college? . . .

Transferability of credits is always at the discretion of the college you are applying to. Generally, certificate level credits do not transfer into BA programs due to a difference in curriculum and level of content.

What if I do the Certificate program and want to transfer into the BA? Can I skip a year in the BA or transfer my credits over? . . .

Most of the certificate program courses do not substitute for BA courses. There is some content overlap but the BA is a higher level in terms of commitment, homework load, and intensity. Due to the nature of our curriculum and the Conservatory structure, students who have completed the Certificate and want to apply for the BA program will need to complete all 3 years of the BA. For the 2022-2023 school year up to 4 credit hours can be transferred over from the Certificate into the BA in Acting.
