BCA Apprenticeships are free, seven-week programs taught by Kingdom-minded industry experts in dance, acting, film, screenwriting, and musical theater. Experience a taste of BCA and learn to tell God’s story through the Arts.

A career in the Entertainment Industry can feel out-of-reach, daunting, or reserved for an elite few. We believe God is transforming the world through a rising generation of Creative Revivalists to bring transformation from Broadway to Hollywood. Whether you’re already an experienced performer, or curious to discover if God is calling you to the arts, our free seven-week apprenticeship program is designed to help you take the next steps to walk out your creative call. In these programs, you’ll learn from our Bethel Conservatory of the Arts instructors and experience a taste of what it’s like to be a BCA student who gains industry-standard excellence in your craft with a Kingdom foundation.


The Details

  • BCA’s Apprenticeships are free courses meant to activate you in your calling and give you insight into what it would be like to pursue a career in the arts.

  • Each class is held once a week, from Oct. 16 to Dec. 8, with a break the week of Thanksgiving.

  • All classes are held in Redding, CA.

  • The dance and musical theater apprenticeships require auditions, and one’s entry to the apprenticeship will be decided upon by our faculty.

  • Applications close on October 9th.


Dance

Screenwriting & Film

Registration for BCA’s 2023 Apprenticeships are now closed.

Dance

Who: BCA Dance instructors

When: Wednesday 6-8 pm, Oct 18th - Dec 6th

Description:
Do you dream of being a dancer? Is the studio a place of freedom and confidence or do you struggle with the high demands of the dance world?

In this 7-week apprenticeship, our BCA dance instructors will take you on a journey to understand the power of your movement and rewrite your beliefs. You’ll be challenged to go after excellence without getting stuck in perfectionism and to strengthen your ballet and contemporary technique.

Join this apprenticeship to grow as a dancer and reconnect to your body! This is a great next step if you’re interested in, or preparing for, a potential future as a Bethel Conservatory of the Arts student. Previous dance experience is required.

 

Screenwriting & Film

Who: David Noroña, Dave Craig, Kerwyn Kuniyoshi

When: Friday’s 10 am -12 pm, Oct 20th - Dec 8th

Description: We are all storytellers — children of a Master Storyteller. If He is, so are you!

Want to change the world through film? Join our 7-week apprenticeship for filmmakers, screenwriters, & storytellers of all kinds with veteran writer-director David Noroña, and filmmakers Dave Craig and Kerwin Kuniyoshi.

Experience what the screenwriting & film programs at BCA are like. This unique apprenticeship offers a hybrid online and in-person experience. Take a few online lessons on kingdom storytelling, PLUS come to 4 live sessions at the world-class Bethel Music/Bethel Media Production Studio.

Acting

Who: Fabiano Altamura, Dean of BCA & Other Instructors

When: Monday 6:45 -8:45 pm, Oct 16th-Dec 4th

Description: Do you have a passion to act and tell stories through different characters?  Do you desire to influence the entertainment industry, but don’t know how?

In this 7-week apprenticeship, you will learn the foundations of acting through Fabiano Altamura’s Dream Circle technique. Our instructors will guide you in a series of improvisational exercises helping you command the stage and enter an audition room. 

This apprenticeship will disrupt the way you think and bring breakthrough in your creative dreams. Discover who God has created you to be.

 

Musical Theater

Who: Lisa Noroña, Co-Founder of BCA

When: Monday 6:45 - 8:45 pm, Oct 16th - Dec 4th

Description: Bring your passion to learn  Musical Theater techniques alongside Broadway veteran Lisa Norona, Director of Musical Theater at Bethel Conservatory of the Arts, and other instructors. If you love musicals, stories, song and dance. This apprenticeship is for you. We will spend 6 weeks with topics and instruction that are built entirely around musical theater. Topics such as general vocal instruction, audition skills, choreography, story and how to bring yourself to the stage. At the end of the 6 weeks, you will be given the opportunity to audition for BCA’s Musical Theater program. Take your first step today!
